Isabel Bustamante
School Owner, Director
I am a passionate dance enthusiast with a rich background in diverse styles and techniques, bringing 23 years of dedicated teaching experience to Isabel’s School of Dance. I had the privilege of being trained under esteemed instructors such as Debra Lavender, Amy Desmond, and the award-winning choreographer and master dance instructor Michele Ribble in Rhinebeck, NY.
My involvement in the dance world goes beyond the studio, as I made a significant contribution to musical theater in my local high school and the Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center. My passion and skills led me to a role as a choreographer at the Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center, showcasing my versatile talent in both dance and theatrical arts before moving to NYC to pursue dance.
Becoming the Studio Coordinator at a distinguished Latin Dance studio in NYC from 2003 to 2006 was a transformative journey, not only for my career but for my life's path. Successfully managing operations and coordinating events during that time, I not only honed my professional skills but also discovered something profound – I met my husband.
Since that moment, the dream of having my own dance studio has fueled my aspirations. Even as life took me into a career in research administration while teaching private lessons, the desire to create a space for dance persisted. When the challenges of Covid hit, I found myself at a crossroads. With a newborn daughter and a son barely 2 years old, the urge to dance became more than a passion – it became a calling. In those moments, amidst the uncertainties, the dream of my own dance studio shone brighter, inspiring me to pursue it with unwavering determination.
With a simple dream of providing a safe space for our community to discover the joy of dance, I timidly began with just one class. The journey that unfolded from that modest beginning has been both surprising and humbling. Today, as I reflect on the path we've traveled, I can't help but feel grateful for the support that has shaped this endeavor.
My aspiration is simple – to offer the best dance instruction in our community. It's not about grand ambitions; it's about the genuine desire to share the beauty of dance with those around me.
If you've ever thought about stepping into the world of dance, I invite you to join me. Together, let's create a space where learning is a shared experience, and every step is taken with humility and joy.
